In line with Frontiers theme of transformation, we will hold our FH22 in the Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Milan. Dating back to 1899 with origins as an ice-skating rink with connected refrigerated warehouses, it has been reimagined into a beautiful liberty style building and hub for the most fascinating events in Milan as a true driver of Art and Culture for the city and beyond.

Returning for another hybrid format, we are pleased to operate within the walls of the Palazzo as its connected architectural structure will support our interconnected ecosystem, both in our plenary sessions, breakout sessions and ongoing networking events. The venue also features the best artistic and technological amenities allowing for the most captivating content and another immersive conference experience.

Commissioned by the national skating champion, Count Alberto Bonacossa in 1923, the Palazzo was the main indoor ice rink in Europe at that time. Bombings of the Second World War seriously damaged the decorations of the interior but after reconstruction following the conflict, the building reopened becoming home to a plethora of diverse events in sports, music, and fashion. Connected to the Palazzo and sharing much of the building’s history and functionality, Frigoriferi Milanesi, once the ice factory of the city, will also be used to amplify the conference space and offerings.

The 2007 restoration has further reinforced its already existing multifunctional structure and industrial style while adding a stunning, modern design with up-to-date technological features, making events hosted there even more impactful.

Located in the Porta Vittoria area, the venue is in the heart of Milan and well connected to the airport and other zones of the city via bus lines and main roadways.

Register here and come explore Milan together or join us online October 20-21st!
