FREDERICK, Md.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#agingservices–Senior living MSP and digital transformation provider ThriveWell Tech is pleased to announce that Majd Alwan, PhD, is joining the company as Chief Strategy and Growth Officer.

Alwan, a digital health and aging services technology expert and former Executive Director of LeadingAge Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST), brings nearly two decades of experience in healthcare technology and research.

In his previous role at LeadingAge CAST, Alwan was responsible for leading a coalition of more than 400 technology companies, aging services organizations, businesses, research universities and government representatives in product development, prototype testing, technology evaluation, and technology-enabled care model deployment.

In his new role, Alwan will lead ThriveWell Tech into its new phase of growth by transforming the end-to-end experience for senior living organizations’ digital roadmap. ThriveWell Tech is an AARP AgeTech Collaborative Testbed partner and a Channel Futures MSP 501 Top 5 provider.

Prior to joining CAST, Alwan served as an assistant professor and the director of the Robotics and Eldercare Technologies Program at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. His research interests included passive functional and health assessment, biomedical instrumentation, medical automation, as well as eldercare and assistive technologies.

In 2022, Alwan launched Digital Health & Aging Services Technology Strategic Advisory to provide consulting to a wide range of providers, technology companies, including start-ups, investors, and policy makers.
